2.4 The Mouse
The mouse itself is a thin sleek looking device.
The mouse color is a cool looking black finish though it does not show
well through the pictures that I've taken here. You can hold it whether
you are right handed or left handed. It fits into your hand easily and
you naturally hold it as if you are holding a trigger oriented device.
The mouse has your normal left/right select buttons
as well as a scroll wheel. Underneath the front portion of the mouse is
an Activation Trigger button that lets a user turn on and off the GyroPoint
capabilities. This allows the mouse to conserve power when you're not
using it actively. You can easily turn it on by doubleclicking the activation
trigger.
The mouse also contains 2 small buttons on the underside
of the mouse at the top. One button (labeled "CHANNEL") allows
you to change the current channel that the mouse is on (there are 8 channels
using 65K security addresses). The other button, labeled "TEACH",
allows you to synchronize the mouse with the RF receiver. Pressing both
the Teach and the Channel button will also turn off the mouse.

2.5 Gyration RF Receiver
The receiver is a small case that reminds
you of a small 802.11b wireless access point with a little antennae in
the back of the device. There is basically only one button on the receiver.
The button is labeled as "LEARN" and basically allows it to
synchronize with other devices that are used for the Gyration system.
You press the LEARN button for 2 seconds and then you press the "TEACH"
button on the mouse to synchronize the 2 devices. There are 5 LEDs in
the front of the device - 3 for the keyboard (NumLock, CapsLock, and Scroll
Lock), 1 Status LED and 1 Conflict LED. This receiver can actually be
taught to learn up 8 devices though only 2 devices can be used simultaneously.
